Quench-Polishing-Quench
To improve the quality of parts and tools for machinebuilding and equipment construction QPQ is a cost effective treatment. Salt bath nitriding - a thermo-chemical treatment mainly known as 'Tenifer' - takes a prominent place. By extending this treatment with polishing and oxidising, also known as QPQ, a very high corrosion and abrasive resistant ability is added.
Diffusion of hard, wear-free and corrosion-resistant surface layers on steel, cast iron and stainless steel.
Advantages
- Surface hardness up to 1300 HV0.05 (depending on the steel grade)
- Increase in fatigue strength
- High corrosion resistance
- No deformations
- No dimensional changes
Thermal spraying
Different techniques
Metal and ceramic powders
Metal wires
Applicable on all metals
Composite coatings
System Durglide®
This technique uses the thermal expanding and shrinking of a cold chrome layer to permanently encase composite particles. This results in a wear- and scratch resistant coating with anti-stick properties.
